All shoeboxes due THIS Thurs (11/15)

Thanks so much for participating in Operation Christmas Child Shoebox project with [nlcf]!! Drop off your completed shoebox anytime from 10a to 7p on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs inside the front door of 130 Jackson St. (the old Red Cross building located in the parking lot above Oge Chi’s on Draper Rd. up next to Big Al’s Sushi). We’ll be packing them up and sending them to the distribution site first thing Friday morning!

If you haven’t already, grab a friend, head to the Dollar Tree/Walmart and pack a shoebox for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Project. It is a simple way to make a huge impact in the life of a child this Christmas. Contact Robbie ([email protected]) or Jeanette ([email protected]).

Homeless on Henderson

Friday, Nov 9, 7pm – 7am, “One Night Without a Home” (ONWAH) is a gathering of people to sleep-out on Henderson Lawn on the VT campus (in front of Lyric). It is put on by Engaging Leaders – Leadership Tech, and Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program (MCEAP) to raise awareness within the VT and Blacksburg community about poverty and homelessness. Additionally, we are collecting donations for the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program (MCEAP). Bring yourself, anything you will need to stay warm for the night, an open mind, a humble spirit, and any donation of money or canned goods. – Thanks, John P. Mason
