The mission of [nlcf] is to invest in spiritual growth, invite others to follow Jesus and inspire each other to change the world.
Sunday Groups
Service: We want to bring God’s justice to the world. God cares about urban poverty. He loves kids who have been unloved and wants to provide the basic needs of those who are without them. This justice includes physical and emotional needs, but also addresses the spiritual need we have to know Christ. One specific way we will be working towards bringing God’s justice is by working with the children of the United Christian Inner City Ministry in Roanoke.
Time/Location: Meeting at 3.30p outside of 130 Jackson

Tuesday Groups
Throwback TV Tuesday: A group that desires to live out their relationship with God in the communities (class, work, etc) where God has placed us. We will be focusing on growing in our relationship with God and in our relationships with the people that He has put in our lives. Through watching some awesome throwback TV (Saved by the Bell, M*A*S*H, the possibilities are endless!), we hope to create a welcoming space to invite and connect with these people.
Time/Location: 7.30p @ Karin’s Apt.
Contact: Karin Caruso, Jeanette Staats
Lee Hall: A group focused on Christ’s love by connecting with and loving on the students of Lee Hall. This group will blend spiritual development, genuine discipleship, and honest evangelism. It will also be a time to find fellowship and accountability with other believers.

This semester we are going to focus on “How Christ has equipped us individually to be sent out.”

Thursday Groups
Engineering: Engineering, math, and science are what we do, not who we are. Our true identity is much deeper: we are children of God and witnesses to the world around us. This is a group of God’s children and witnesses who have analysis-oriented mindsets or majors. Throughout the semester we will deeper our faith through scripture study and memorization, build a strong community of faith with each other, and reach out to the people around us who view the world through similar lenses.

East AJ: Our desire is to play a key part in seeing East AJ become a strong, relational community with us playing a key part. Our hope is to see students with a passion for learning take hold of an equal passion for Christ. We want to be known for loving people because of our love for Him. We want to live life together and engage each other through meals, playing games, and having fun and meaningful interactions.
Time/Location: 7.00p @ East AJ Library (6th floor)

Week 2: spending time engaging with culture and with each group’s specific missional focus
Week 3: bible study, prayer, fellowship, accountability
Week 4: “Engage Together” – coming together with other engage groups for sharing, teaching, and worship
