The mission of [nlcf] is to invest in spiritual growth, invite others to follow Jesus and inspire each other to change the world.
Steve has been on staff since 2004 and Amy since 2007. They met at Radford University, where they are alumni, and got married in 2006. Steve has a bachelors in Sociology with a minor in English and Amy a bachelor’s in Recreational Therapy. They are a fun-loving couple excited about seeing others live out the true life God says we can all have.
Steve serves in a variety of ways at [nlcf]. He is a Community Gatherings (Sunday service) leader, oversees small groups, plays in a worship band, meets with many guys about working though life situations, oversees the annual missions trip to Honduras, and many more random tasks.
Amy is associate staff which means she’s on staff, but as a volunteer. She works full time at New River Valley Community Services. She loves all the people she gets to work with there meet there! As associate staff, she helps co-lead REACH (women’s ministry), disciples women, and helps plan special events like retreats and banquets.
In their spare time, they love hanging out with people over food, games, or whatever. They really enjoy the outdoors and both hunt and fish (Steve loves that about Amy). Personality-wise, they are completely opposite (Steve is a relaxed and laid-back kind of guy while Amy loves to cut-up and create a good time), though they love how they balance each other out.
God has been way too real in both of their lives to ever deny His existence or love and they really desire for others to know the reality and love of God in their own lives as well.
